Nothing makes a woman feel more powerful and sexy than a stilleto!
Ok, ok, so I might not be like most women when I can strut and dance the night away in pencil thin 5” heels without a worry in the world. Those who can barely balance themselves in them might disagree, and I also understand that the painful wobbly walk after a long night isn’t that attractive. But there’s something about stepping into heels that completely transforms me.
It might be the fact that I wear flats to work almost every day and as soon as I get home all I want to wear out are my heels, it’s kind of an escape of the routine. Putting on my heels makes me feel immediately grandiose, my posture and attitude completely changes. Whenever we have special events at work I like to wear heels, when I do I feel in charge and my co-workers definitely notice. There’s always a reaction when I change into my heels, they know something is brewing inside me and some are even disappointed when I don’t wear them.
I’ve heard some people say that men created heels so women couldn’t run away. (Those who say that, have never seen me running a block in black Chanel peep-toe pumps) Personally heels don’t make me feel suppressed, they actually make me feel empowered and privileged. They make me feel like a different persona, not only because my legs look amazing and I appear to be 5” taller, but it’s a feeling that transcends the tangible. It’s a revelation to the world that you are not afraid to let them know who you are, that you are ready to stand out and that sharp sound of every step you take is an announcement of your presence because you are a force to be reckoned with.
So go ahead, don’t be afraid and put on your favorite heels and just embrace how you feel. I sure do!
